Patience is often thought of as a feminine virtue, but it is necessary for everyone. It is something that has to be cultivated . It comes more naturally to some than others, but even the most patient person you know would tell you that sometimes they have to control themselves and focus on being patient at times. Saying that, “I’m not a patient person”, is very lame excuse. Patience is not necessarily something that you are born with, but something that develops over time. And to say that you’re not a patient person, really just means that you don’t want to be a patient person. Everyone could use a little more patience.
When talking to some civnat-like people (maybe your parents or grandparents or usually some of the older than you) and you complain about the current state of events and what’s going on, they might tell you that you need to be more patient. But this is not real patience. What they are asking you to do is to quietly sit down and accept your fate. Our previous generations did too much sitting down and “patiently” waiting. Surrender by distraction should never be the answer. We may have to fall back and regroup, but we will never surrender. The enemies we face are far too great to ignore any longer. I keep thinking of serious things that we can do as individuals and as a collective that will actually make change. Things that will actually help us in the long run, and though I’m still struggling to find those answers I believe our first step is to look inward and improve ourselves. We need to be people of good character, and character is not born into infancy. Character is developed over your whole life intentionally. Things like endurance (both physical and emotional), patience, morality, and teamwork. There are many many more that I could list, but you get the idea. Some people do need to work harder at these than others, but we all need to work on them to some degree. Overcoming brainwashing and programming is not an easy task, and it should not be taken lightly. It does not happen overnight and no one should expect it to. We cannot give in to the despair that comes when seeing different messages big and small everyday that are aimed at destroying us.
Did we bring this destruction upon ourselves? To some degree, yes, I believe we did. We invited the world in. We thought we could save the world, end hunger, and cure incurable diseases. We were not patient with the rest of the world. You cannot force a tomato to grow as fast as a radish. It just doesn’t happen. Some things take a long time to mature. But that doesn’t make them any less valuable. In regards to people, some people peoples just need more time to develop. They should be left to their own spaces and given that time to grow on their own. A common theme in sci-fi shows is that a higher civilization will not interfere with the development of a younger civilization. This is also most commonly know as the “Prime Directive.” I believe that there is a great deal of wisdom in this even if it sometimes seems cruel we should not interfere.
But I digress. Patience is a very important tool to have in our arsenal. It does not seem like a weapon in the present but it does turn into one of we are in it for the long run. Although the problems our people of European descent are facing now seem insurmountable, and we do need to focus on fixing the problems.of today, we also need a long term goal, and ways to safeguard the future of the generations to come.
